Question: Lidocaine + tattoo = pain! my tattoo has fallen off!?

Last saturday, 1 week ago today, I was at a tattoo convention getting my 23rd and 24th tattoo so I truly do know how to heal a tattoo.. Well #24 is a whole new experience! Last friday I began a new piece to finally finish the last remaining real estate on my back and it HURT but II made it through the ordeal and was scheduled to get about 4 more hours the next day, and was scared to have to go through such extreme pain again. (this is a new artist for me, and does NOT have a light touch) So I asked her if there was anything they sold at the convention to help with the pain, and she directed me 3 booths over to get a topical anesthetic gel called "Simple Relief " made by tommysupplies.com.. BAD BAD BAD MOVE! I spent $30 on this tiny bottle of gel and we began the tattoo. Well what a painful week i have had and the worst pain is happening today. yes I have gone to the doctors, yes I am on antibiotics, I also went to the artists shop yesterday ld me not to worry and we will touch it up once everything heals. My body has rejected 50% of the tattoo and it has to be from the gel, as I didn't use the gel on the tattoo I received the night before and it is 90% all healed up and looks great;; the artist saw the deep scabbing on the troubled tattoo and applied a "Raw Honey Patch " ( cleaned the wound with saline solution and spread organic raw honey all over the infected tattoo and covered with gauze ). She told me to leave it on for 2 hours and wash it off with warm water. So I did , then went to bed..... This morning I woke up to a scabby, pus filled mess... so I got right in the shower and when i came out the hard scabbing that was once there was gone along with the ink and what was left behind is about 4 inches of open , raw , red , burning skin that has delivered excruciating pain and an absence of alot of my new tattoo. Bring on the tears and anxiety attack. I pretty much have had the worst pain days of my life with the exception of my kidney stone stint! I honestly dont know if i have an actual question, but please please DO NOT USE "Simple Relief " gel by tommyssupplies.com, if anyone can offer any type of relief or advise i would love to hear it as I feel as though my back has been skinned.. well I guess it has :- ( Again, Im not sure what my question is, and i certainly dont appreciate being called stuipd, especially that petrolium is the #1 think you should NOT put on an infected or uninfected tattoo.. I was just wondering if anyone else has used this bad product and have had the samed type of reaction. |
