Question: Where would a tattoo hurt the most?

I'm 19 and Ive wanted a tattoo for a while. I want to get "Jeff " or "Jeffrey " because it's my little brothers name, who passed away. My parents both have a tattoo for him. I cant decide between my shoulder, back of neck, wrist, or... which do you think would hurt least? thanks!

I should imagine a tattoo would hurt most in the third world or similar where sterilising equipment was not used.

I would think the inside of the wrist would hurt the most. However, I've heard that any time you get a tattoo someplace that there isn't much flesh (just skin and bone) that that supposedly hurts the worst. So I might avoid the back of my neck as well.

Sholder would hurt less, its a larger muscle group.

A tattoo would hurt most on the thinnest skin like your throat, inside wrist, eye lid, rib cage, top of the foot, etc.

Your shoulder would hurt the least. because the back of your neck is very sensative, and your wrist has very thin skin over your veins.

I have my back done and it barely hurt at all. More sting and pain giving blood. A couple friends of mine have some as well and we all agree the neck hurt the most and then any place that has little "meat and muscle " to be the worst places to get one. Hands tend to be the worst because of the large number of receptors where as the back has few.

I have 11 tattoos 2 on my chest bone area one on the inside of my lip the back of my neck forearms and such feet and ankles and back and none of those hurt me except my foot! that hurt BAD haa and i have a good tolerance to pain good luck also my wrist it doesnt hurt at all

First tattoo is on my wrist and it wasnt bad at all! the pain ( for me ) was completely tolerable plus i think it looks rather classy :)
