Meaningful tattoo symbols?
i want to get tattoo of some meaningful symbol,what kind are there?thxi knw tht.im just looking for ideas.
What are some good tattoo symbols?
I'm planning on getting a tattoo that represents something very important to me. I went through a stage of self injury a few years back, and I want to get a tattoo that shows relief from it. I took a lyric from the song " To Write Love on Her Arms" by Hawthorne Heights and added it to my own drawing. The drawing is the TWLOHA icon, a blue star, with wings around it to represent me being freed of my past, and there is a banner above and below the star that says " She found relief in his eyes" . Now, I'd like to wrap the ends of the banner around a symbol that represents freedom of my past, pain, etc. Not like a heart, but like if you've seen the bundle of arrows and branches on the dollar bill that represent " Peace" and " Freedom" , you'll know what I mean.
My mum and me want to get matching tattoos, tattoo symbols ideas?
My mum and I came up with the idea to get matching tattoos. We were thinking of some form of symbol, like family or protection or something like that. Does anyone have any other cool ideas?Ooh yeah, and does anyone have an idea on the placement of it too?
I'm curious about tattoo symbols?
A good friend of mine is planning on getting a tattoo. He just got sober and is feeling empowered. He wants a way to remember that when he's feeling down and he thought a tattoo would be great. A permanant positive reminder. He asked me to help out on something that he could use to mean that. He was wondering if there was symbol or some kind of way to represent progress and success. I've tried to google it but haven't had much luck on finding anything that would fit quite right. Is there anything of the type?

Brother&sister tattoo symbol?
hey so my brother and i wanna get a tattoo together.. he wants to get a symbol that means " sister" and i want to get one that means " brother" ... no chinese words or so, a SYMBOL..i just can't seem to find any... or we both get the same tattoo that means " even tho we're far apart, we'll always be close" .... which i'm having a hard time finding it too..so i was wondering if u guys got any suggestions ???thank u very much

Tattoos, Symbol of Strength?
My friend just found out that she has to have hysterectomy she's 26 and childless . We've known that she has Cancer for about week but she wasn't sure of the severity until today meeting with the gynecological oncologist . Anyways, we have been planning on getting tattoos together for awhile and I've made us an appointment for this Saturday. This isn't my first tat but it will be my most meaningful and I want to pick something good for the 3 of us our other best friend will be coming too . I am drawn towards picking a symbol of strength but don't want a bull or anything like that. Can anyone suggest a good symbol of strength that 3 women in their twenties could get as a tattoo? Please be serious because this is SUPER important to us. We also don't want any sort of chinese symbols.Thank you tattoo chick, after you posted I was looking at different ones and found the words live, laugh love. I've always loved the saying and I think since there are 3 of us we are going to get that, my friend with the cancer obviosuly getting live. We think that we are going to get it with the background looking continuos so that when we put it together on our feet it will look like one tattoo. Thank you so much for your answer though. My friends and I have decided to all get a tattoo together and we decided to get one that represents " sisters" we were thinking about getting Unnie < Korean Language because that's what we first decided on but now we all agreed to get different languages.. so could you help me decide what language would look the best cutest? Question about my tattoo symbol?
i have a soon to be 6 month old daughter. This week when i get paid im going to get her name & birthday tattoo on me. her name is a'vionna. i was wondering what symbol besides like hearts & stars should i get around her name like im thinking of teddy bears like the little teddy grams but im not sure. what do you think? Also if anyone knows chinese writing i was wondering how would you write the name Roy in chinese?
