Question: What is a good tattoo school in north carolina?

There aren't any "schools " for tattooing...you generally have to apprentice at a working tattoo shop. I apprenticed at the only (at the time) shop in Durham. Unfortunately, the owners were crackheads (literally) and the place eventually went under after I bailed. You'll just have to make friends with the artists in one of the shops near you and politely ask if they'd take you on as an apprentice.

Most new tattoo artist "apprentice " under older established artists to give them experience, teach them the abilities to run the place from the ground up. Meaning making appointments, bookings, doing the artwork, gruntwork, and everything that entails. This way, after a few years, they know the business inside-out, and are ready to establish themselves on their own. Shows such as Miami Ink explain this in detail. New artist come and go depending on how they work, but the owner is the boss, deciding on whether the new artists are worth their salt and doing business (for him) properly.

I've never heard of a tattoo school. tattoo artists learn from other artists. they get an apprenticeship and study the art of tattoo.
