Do tattoo artists charge for a sketch?
I'm going to get an original tattoo, so I want to see a sketch of it obviously. Do you have to pay the artist for them to draw up a sample of it, so I can see what it looks like. Also how much would a coloured tattoo cost probably about 6x5 inches.

Is this wrong to let another tattoo artist finish my tattoo?
I think that my tattoo artist is a too heavy with the gun. It felt like he was taking a nice and riping my skin open with it.. I know they use a needle, no need to inform me on that i'm just trying to explain how bad it hurts. I had 2 sessions with him, both 2 hours long. I usually take pain very well. and this wasn't my first tattoo. I still have one more sitting with him, but i'm thinking about letting someone else finish it... He just needed to go back over the star in the middle of my back and he would be done... But i'm terrified of going through the pain again... Do you think it would be wrong??

Ok so I'm considering being a tattoo artist and I've already had a tattoo artist tell me that my drawings are good and that I could be one but I'm a little confused on what an apprentice does. Like do they only work for one artist? Do they get paid? How early can you start working I'm 14 ? How long does it take to finish training? Can you tattoo someone? I'm thinking about getting a tattoo, and I'm wondering roughly what the price would be. I want the Atreyu logo and saying across the bottom of my stomach and the switchblade pentagram around my belly button. It would be in just three colors, black, gray and red. A Question for Tattoo Artists?
So I saw this Ad looking for a full time Tattoo artist with at least 3 year experience. They were also seeking an apprentice and I thought Hey That could be me.The Ad said an apprentice with an artistic background and basic knowledge of the tattoo industry.Now I do not have the basic knowledge of the tattoo industry and I have been googling what I can and reading but I'm still not sure what that basic knowledge is.My Question is how do I become a Tattoo artist?I assume I would receive training for the apprenticeship but that just leads me to my second question. Am I eligible for the apprenticeship? And what do I need to know?For a background on my abilities, I can pretty much draw and paint anything with perfect realism easily. And I'm familiar to a variety of mediums but never needle on skin.I have designed a few tattoos because a couple of friends have asked.
