My God Daddy got one recently. It's of Taz from Looney Toons riding on a buffalo. the buffalo has eagle talons instead of hooves and he's flying over a moutain top. Best wishes. |

Well, Theres many symbols to choose from actually, like with an arrow. The arrow symbolizes protection. Here is a link with many different symbols! Good luck! wolfs_moon.tripod.com/ NativeSymbols.html |

That is soo cool that you a native indian who is actully proud of who they are! I think you should get the sign/ symbol/ animal that represents your tribe and family! I am not sure what they are called but its and image that represents the family. |

Why don't you ask some of the elders in the community and other Native Americans of the tribe for some ideas? Just getting some random "Native American " symbol is weird if it doesn't actually mean something personal to you. I also think it would be more meaningful to be involved with your Native American community and not just get a tattoo of it, and that's it. My best friend's husband is Native American, and this kind of thing really p*sses him off sometimes. He says (and I'm paraphrasing here), "That's great - people who are like 1/ 18 Native American get tattoos and make bead necklaces and sometimes go to a dance. And that's it. They have absolutely nothing to do with the community at all, but they want to claim part of it to basically show off, without giving anything back or actually being part of the culture. " I'm just sayin'. |
